New Yorkers are gearing up for Pisaroni's return as Leporello in the Met's "Don Giovanni" with fellow barihunks Mariusz Kwiecien as the Don and Joshua Bloom as Masetto. 1. It's very sad that Mozart is being barked in that way, by Kwiecien and some others... You used to have to sing the notes on the page. Here, he only sings about half of what is in the score and shouts the rest. Look up Samuel Ramey singing this aria if you want to hear the actual notes.
